Olde Town

The Olde Town Neighborhood is located in the Eastern most part of the City of Portsmouth, bordered by the Elizabeth River on the North and East, Interstate 264 on the South, and Effingham Street on the West. The neighborhood contains many attractions including: the Children's Museum of Virginia, Naval Shipyard Museum, Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Ntelos Concert Pavilion and Elizabeth River Ferry. A majority of the buildings in the neighborhood are from the late 18th Century to the 1910s, with small or no yards for a true city living feel. Single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums are common throughout the area.

The neighborhood public schools are I.C. Norcom High School, Churchland Middle School, and Park View Elementary School.

Single Family Homes are $300,000 for 2000 square feet and $450,000 for 3000 square feet. Townhomes are on the market for $150,000 for approximately 1300 square feet and Condominiums range from $200,000 for approximately 1000 square feet to $280,000 for 2000 square feet.
