The West Ghent Neighborhood is located in the Southwestern most part of the City of Norfolk, bordered by 21st Street on the North, the Elizabeth River on the South, Lambert's Point Terminal on the West, and Hampton Boulevard on the East. The neighborhood is located walking distance from Colley Avenue restaurants and entertainment. A majority of the homes in the neighborhood are from the early 1910s and 1920s, with bigger yards than expected for a city living lifestyle. Because the neighborhood is so close to the Freemason and Ghent Neighborhoods, there are a mix of Single Family, Townhomes, and Condominiums.
The neighborhood public schools are Maury High School, Blair Middle School, and Taylor Elementary School.
Single family homes for sale in the neighborhood range from $350,000 for approximately 2000 square feet to $700,000 for 4000 square feet. Townhomes are on the market for $300,000 for approximately 1900 square feet, and Condominiums are $250,000 for approximately 1600 square feet.
